How to Place Your LDS Films on Extended Loan at the Center for Jewish History

The Family History Library has agreed to permit LDS microfilms to be placed on extended  (no return date -- formerly called indefinite) loan at the Ackman & Ziff Family Genealogy Institute at the Center for Jewish History. The Jewish Genealogical Society will assist the Genealogy Institute in building its collection of microfilms of Jewish interest/significance by paying the difference between the short term and extended loan fee, thus allowing them to be added to the Institute’s extended loan collection.

The fee for a short term loan (90 days) is $7.50. The extended loan fee is $18.75.  The JGS will reimburse the difference – $11.25 -- for films of Jewish interest ordered for use at the Center for Jewish History.  Films must be ordered online at the FamilySearch website www.familysearch.org/films.

For detailed information on ordering films and the reimbursement procedure, please speak to the librarian at the Ackman & Ziff Family Genealogy Institute or write to treasurer@jgsny.org.
